Shifts generated from weekly patterns
Set each person's default pattern once, such as 'open Mon/Wed/Fri, close Sat', and the month's rota fills itself. Only touch the exceptions.

Invite staff

Register a terminal or WiFi
Install the terminal app on a spare Android device and enter the 6-digit code on its screen, or register the store WiFi, and clock-ins are recorded from that day.

Isn't this a clinic product? Can a cafe or restaurant use it?
Yes. StepNote started with clinic attendance, where shifts, paid leave and payroll are intertwined, and the same structure fits cafes and restaurants directly. When creating your shop, choose 'Other' as the category and enter your shop name.
Does it total hours and produce payslips?
Hours are totaled per employee from clock-in records, and you can generate monthly payslips that show up directly in the staff app.
Do staff have to install the app on their phones?
Yes. Clock-ins are done through the staff app (iOS and Android). Once installed, staff just hold their phone or smartwatch near the Bluetooth terminal at the counter, and store WiFi auto check-in works alongside it.
